In accordance with the International Labour Organisation (ILO), Cruise Alternatives is MLC (Maritime Labour Convention 2006) certified and subject to regular audits to ensure safe and fair labour practice.

The application, selection and placement process for cruise ship recruitment is intricate and often lengthy, and Cruise Alternatives is dedicated to assisting their new recruits every step of the way until they board their designated vessel anywhere in the world.
Incoming CVS are subject to a strict screening policy in an effort to supply our clients with top quality candidates. This, in addition to a thorough coaching session known as our “initial interview”, also aims to afford our applicants with the best possible outcome when they have their final interview.
We cater for a broad base of entry-level positions on board, from which candidates can develop and expand into an array of other opportunities. These positions may be viewed on the Vacancies page. Applicants need to adhere to the minimum requirements highlighted in each position if they wish to be considered.
Please note that each application is handled individually, therefore there is NO guarantee that couples or any 2 persons applying together will be placed / scheduled for the same vessel / company.
Our positions are not subject to seasonal placement – therefore we consider applications all year round. Hiring trips, however (when our clients come out to do bulk interviews on specific positions), only happen at certain times during the year, and will be indicated in the “recruitment process” section on the Vacancies page.
Applicants who fall short of the minimum requirements due to age or experience, are encouraged to attend our monthly public workshops for useful information to aid future successful applications.
